Renovation of two combined apartments. An open plan living room/dining room/kitchen was designed by removing a third bedroom and exposing a concrete column. The kitchen was enlarged by adding a prep and eat-at counter as an extension just outside the existing kitchen so that the existing kitchen could be retained (with resurfacing). The living room was designed around the placement of high end stereo equipment, optimized for listening. The equipment and television, as well as a murphy bed, are concealed behind the custom cabinets. |

 An extensive CD collection is stored within two sets of cherry and fibreglas units. Above right is the foyer unit. A storage "column" (right and below) abuts the kitchen extension. |
