Renovation of a two-bedroom post-war apartment into a one-bedroom pied-a-terre maximizing views of Central Park. A richly colored modern environment was created, drawing upon deco, modern(e) and high-tech. The client's residency in Japan, as well as his travels in Central and South America, are reflected in various elements. |

Dividing walls are made into elements by coating them in colored venetian plaster. The kitchen cabinets are finished in two tones of green analine dye and lit by a custom Fire & Water light. A blue glass block window (above left) allows diffused light into the guest shower. |
